Web Based Service Delivery Manager/ Project Manager (Web Hosted Services/ Applications) - Located in Southampton UK, the role is to consistently deliver projects to meet requirements, on time and to budget. Demonstrating project management leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals
Responsibilities:
* The Project Manager will be involved from Bid stage to final delivery, producing plans and leading their project team to success. Managing project budget, schedule, scope and risk.
* Leadership and technical direction for a mixture of Engineering disciplines including systems and software
* Effective communication to senior management of project progress, issue resolution and earned value metrics
* Ensuring adherence to compliance, process, procedures and quality standards
* Promote and inspire technical excellence within the projects and support groups through design / technical review participation, lessons learned awareness and application, and technical innovation / growth fostering
* Pro-actively establish and maintain relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved
Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science degree (minimum) in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or equivalent level of knowledge or experience.
* Computer Science or related subject
* Experience in web hosted services
* Project management experience leading engineering cross-functional development teams
* Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage and coordinate internal and external project resources
* Demonstrated knowledge of schedule and resource planning techniques and project management tools including risk management and earned value metrics
Desired Characteristics:
* Further education above Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent level of knowledge or experience
* Strong understanding of estimation and budgeting process
* Strong negotiation skills with customers, management, peers and team members
* Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
* Ability to manage virtual teams
* Strong process orientation in approach to work
* Knowledge of IT project management
* Knowledge of Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM or HUMS)
