The Position:
? Undertake overall responsibility and accountability for the management, control and administration of Emirates assets, fiscal and marketing policies within Vietnam.
? Undertake corporate representation of the Emirates Group together with the execution of contractual obligations within the remit of the Powers of Attorney and the Emirates Group Authorities Manual to ensure that legal and commercial interests are safeguarded.
? Manage the compliance of all local legislation including aviation requirements in order to ensure that the Emirates operation does not get affected or is levied with any penalties for non-compliance.
? Build and maintain country-wide relationships with Political Representatives, Government Departments, Regulatory Authorities, Commercial Organisations, Third Party Suppliers and Contractors and ensure conformity with Local and International legal requirements, conventions, policies, procedures and regulations whilst projecting the desired image to achieve premier strategic positioning within Vietnam.
? Achieve, organise, control and monitor passenger sales targets and marketing goals of the company.
? Control, guide and monitor the day-to-day activities of all field sales staff to ensure satisfactory performance levels and smooth flow of business.
? Ensure that the product and promotional plans are understood and implemented to give the greatest impact in the market.
? Monitor performance of all departments through regular departmental heads meetings as well as monitoring expenditure to ensure SQLs and revenue targets are met with a reducing cost revenue ratio in liaison with respective functional commercial sections.
? Strategically monitor the market and continuously review the sales and marketing strategy with a view to increasing the market share in line with the projected increase also seizing potential opportunities for enhancing revenue and yield by adopting "Best Sales Working Practices".
? Provide adequate and timely feedback to Head office on achievements/deficiencies/ market trends/ challenges with recommendation and insights on issues in order to support the decision making process to protect the overall interest and the profitability of the airline.
? Maintain the overall administrative and budgetary control of Vietnam. All department Managers will report to the Country Manager in order to ensure a seamless operation that focuses on the overall objective of the organisation.

Experience and Qualifications:
? University Degree (preferably in Business) with a minimum of 10 years? experience in Commercial Operations / the Travel Industry of which a min. of 5 years at a senior level with a proven track record.
? Knowledge of sales, reservations, airport services and cargo. Commercial acumen with an overall knowledge of airline operations. Completed all relevant industry/airline approved courses. In depth knowledge of making strategic plans taking into consideration key influencing factors on air travel.
? Proven ability to work independently and think strategically in developing long term plans. Use initiative to capitalise on and seize business opportunities, negotiating, planning and implementation of short and long term targets.
? An excellent command of the English language (written and verbal) is essential.
Must have the right to work and live in Vietnam. The company will not provide or assist with obtaining work permits.
