3. Development of Category Plan
-Tactical
-Operational
-Business opportunities - evaluation of new product offers
-Definition of the Marketing needs of consumers
4. Translation of In-store sales support material/ Merchandising tools

5. Range management
-Pricing (Going Price, Net Sales, Transfer Price, Product Cost)
-Operational – Phase In/Phase Out
-Monitor competitor activity and trends
-Co-ordinate work with Sales, Trade Marketing, Finance
-Gathers relevant information
-Identify patterns, trends and relationships; use models and framework to structure thinking and present strategic initiatives to the business
