KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Manage existing products through their life cycle.
- Develop, discuss and implement quality marketing plans and molecule strategies.
- Achieve the outlined expected results.
- Manage marketing expenses within plan.
- Being expert on market dynamics, utilizing field resources, reports and market research.
- Convey market plans to the team members and obtain buy-in.
- Review market place performance and adjust programs as required.
- Use "Marketing Toolbox", BVM and measurement as method of analysis.
- Ensure product strategies are compatible with overall business strategies.
2. Develop and Manage CPS and RCU projects.
- Have plans aligned with GBL, RCU and Tiger Team Strategy and elaborated with both Goals and detailed Action Plans.
- Develop Marketing Plan (4Ps).
- Build Channel Programs.
Establish Resource plans applying for manpower, spending, adding, divesting, focusing on certain geography, etc.
3. Implements the Understand Customer Needs Process - continuously collects feedback from multiple sources
- Request and develop marketing research information and projects.
· Develop and implement a formal input process to the Tiger Team from the market place and other members of the RCU and GBL.
- Active communication with the team members, liaison with DAS customers, Market Research Focal Point etc.
- Available data analyzed and reported.
- Be familiar with Segmentation, Positioning, Pricing concepts.
- Market demand understood and linked to Forecast.
- Tiger Team members empowered and tasks related to new projects appropriately delegated.
4. Lead the Vietnam Tiger Team and develop Tiger Team Strategy.
- Business Environment understood incl. Market and competitive analysis, who has influence in the purchasing decision and assumptions.
- Position developed incl. Resource deployment, what are the pressures, S.W.O.T. and assumptions.
Market and Product Strategic Initiatives developed with strategic objectives, goals and plans.
5. Communicate and Implement Strategy.
- Formal input from Country Leader obtained, with ongoing communication and involvement in the implementation.
- Tiger Team has been involved in the development of the Strategy.
- Strategy reinforced at TT meetings with constant communications to the team and other LBU members.
6. Quality
- Know and utilize quality systems.
- Resolve significant customer issues (complaints) in a timely fashion.
- Be focal point for DAS activity on product quality issues.
- Provide leadership in all areas of product presentation.
- Address pertinent issues relating to Product Stewardship.
7. Safety and Product Stewardship.
- Product Stewardship Focal Point.
- Safety items on meeting agendas.
- Promote spot workers awareness/participation.
Promote DAS product stewardship/policy to distributors/end users.
Qualifications
This position requires education in a scientific discipline, that is equivalent to a B.S. in Agriculture or a M.S. in Agronomy.
A minimum of 5-7 years field or commensurate experience in sales, marketing or R&D is required.
Strong people skills are essential, as are sound problem solving and decision making capabilities.
Good communication skills, especially writing and personal presentation is necessary.
Strong knowledge of R&D systems.
Strong knowledge of the local agricultural industry.
Skilled, wide contact with Dow AgroSciences staff in several countries. Extensive interaction with senior staff in other agricultural chemical companies.
Understands and is capable of implementing Valued Based Management principles. Detailed market and business analysis needed. Huge requirements for future planning. Computer literacy requirement. Able to manage numerous projects at one time.
Sound judgement complex decision-making skills often needed.
Reviews actions with supervisor periodically.
