Chemonics International seeks an epidemiologist specializing in public health research for an anticipated USAID-funded health information systems project in India. The project aims to strengthen the policy environment and evidence-based decision making process to help key national programs improve health outcomes. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include: 

Conduct assessments of health management information systems (HMIS) Provide technical input to IT specialists for the design and update of the HMISSelect and implement a functional monitoring and evaluation systemProvide technical assistance in epidemiology Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the project   Master’s degree in epidemiology required; doctoral degree preferredMinimum 15 years of experience in public health practice, research, or education Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant health system positions with the Indian government, including knowledge of relevant health issues and systemsFamiliarity with USAID and similar donors preferredDemonstrated leadership, versatility, and integritySend electronic submissions to by September 15, 2011.
