The ILO is addressing this challenge through the “Strengthening of in-land tourism in Quang Nam Project”, from May 2010 to May 2013.

Deadline for submissions: 15 September 2011

The overall aim of the project is to utilize Quang Nam’s tourism sector as a driver for poverty reduction in the province, especially for individuals (primarily, but not exclusively women and youth) from disadvantages regions of the province.

Project implementation started in March 2011 with the appointment of a National Project Assistant, after having cleared some initial holdups. Achievements so far could be summarized as follows:

In order to determine whether the project activities are leading towards pre-specified goals and objectives and to highlight any unintended (positive or negative) effects from the project and its activities, an Internal Monitoring and Evaluation System is needed to gather and analyze information
