A SYNTHETIC FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR’S RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Providing client training in accordance with approved Training Manuals guidelines, the training syllabus and the authorizing regulatory authority.
• Ensuring all training is completed using either CAE or the client company’s procedures.
• Training clients to the standard required and following procedures defined when a trainee is unable to meet the standard.
• Completing the Journey Log after use of a training device. Ensuring all defects are recorded in the Defects Log.
• Providing assistance to the Head of Training in the development of new programmes or courseware.
• When qualified as an examiner for either JAA / EASA or Authority, carrying out flight checks in accordance with and on behalf of the appropriate regulatory authority.
• Developing JAA / EASA aircraft flight training programmes for use within CAE TRTO’s
SUCESSFUL APLICANTS WILL HAVE:
• Or have held a professional pilot license issued by a JAA member state or a non-JAR- FCL professional license acceptable to the authority ( JAR-FCL2.350(A)(a)).
• Preferably had experience as a CRM facilitator.
• Excellent Classroom Presentation & Interpersonal Skills.
• Above average communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer skills & knowledge of Internet applications.
• The right to work and live in Norway.

Flight Services Singapore Pte Ltd (FSS) is the first recruitment agency contracted by Xiamen Airlines to recruit B737 NG/EFIS Captains who are current and qualified for a desirable commuting or non-commuting contract based in Xiamen, China. FSS has recruited more Captains for Xiamen Airlines (more than 30 Captains) than any other appointed recruitment agencies, and is well positioned to help interested Captains in the recruitment process at Xiamen Airlines. FSS is also the only recruitment agency with a full time staff in Xiamen to assist pilots in the selection and settling in at Xiamen.
Positions are available immediately. Screenings are ongoing in Xiamen with successful candidates being offered employment directly with Xiamen Airlines.
Candidates must satisfy the following conditions:
1) 5000 Hours Total Time
2) 2000 Hours on Multi-Crew, Multi-Engine Jet Time (turbo prop not accepted)
3) 500 Hours PIC on B737NG/EFIS
4) Valid B737NG/EFIS Command Rating with no limitations (eg. VMC Circling Restriction)
5) Last flown as Captain on the B737NG/EFIS within the past 12 months (above 12months to 3 years or B737-200 experienced Captains may be considered on a case-by-case basis).
6) ICAO English Proficiency Minimum Level 4
7) Under 55 years old at commencement of contract date
8) Hold Passport and ATPL from a country with Diplomatic Relations with China
9) No criminal history and no history of accidents/incidents verified by country where passport is held
10) Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate (good for 3 months as of joining date) with no significant medical history, conditions or limitations (eg. major surgery and heart attack)
Salary and benefits:
1) Commuting Captain or Non-commuting Captain contracts – 3 years and renewable
2) Commuting: 6 weeks on/2 weeks off (paid) schedule, 150 block hours/two calendar months
Non-Commuting: 30 days paid annual leave, 75 block hours/month
3) Monthly Salary (Commuting Captains - from US$11,500 to US14,000; Non-Commuting Captains - from US$12,400 to US$14,900)
4) Overtime Pay: US$200 per block hours over 150 hours in 2 calendar months.
5) Yearly Safety Bonus (1st year : US$12,000; 2nd year : US$14,000; 3rd year : US$16,000, and 4th year : US$18,000)
6) Additional bonus based on company financial performance (US$10,000 per year)
7) Loyalty Reward after 6 full years of service (US$30,000 or US$5,000 per average contract year)
8) Accommodation allowance (RMB7,000 per month – approximately US$1,100)
9) Free Accommodation Period: Free hotel accommodation (room and meals only) provided for 30 days after contract signing date.
10) Travel allowance (US$6,000 per year)
11) Education Allowance (50% of children’s education in Xiamen schools up to a maximum of US$ 8,000 per year per child for up to two children)
12) Free Duty Transportation: between defined pick up points and Main Operation Base
13) Concessional air tickets on company flights, including international flights, for Captains and family members.
14) Company Employees Group Life (RMB 800,000 per person) and Personal Accident (RMB 1,500,000 per person) Insurance.
15) Basic Social Insurance - according to related Chinese Labour laws and regulations
16) Optional Medical Insurance (BUPA) - 50% co-payment of premium up to US$ 1,300. FSS is the only agency to offer the BUPA insurance scheme for foreign Captains, subject to a minimum number of Captains signing up.
17) Additional Loss of Licence insurance – self-paid by Captains, can be separately arranged by FSS but subject to a minimum number of Captains signing up)

The Flight Training Manager is responsible for the management, development and oversight of a team of professional Synthetic Flight Instructors and Type Rating Instructors, delivering first class training to our customers.
Responsibilities will include:
· Ensuring the Instructor team has the qualifications and resources necessary to deliver cost-effective, high quality, state-of-the-art instruction. Implementation of Company policies and procedures and setting of business goals to support performance management.
· Management, development and administration of the Flight Training Support team.

· Manage the training, induction and qualification of new instructors and participate in the selection of new personnel. · Monitor instructor availability and qualification and liaise with Flight Training Support, Scheduling and TRM to ensure proper and timely scheduling, rostering and delivery of customer and internal training courses and recurrent checking and training.
· Maintain and update as required all training and technical manuals in current use. Manage the updating, issue and training for student and instructor tablet PCs.
· Assist the maintenance and development of training curricula and courseware.
· Deliver instruction on Type-specific and non-technical courses as agreed from time to time with the Head of Training.
· Conduct thorough and complete briefings prior to each training session, as well as debriefings and critiques at the end of each training session, to ensure that the customer is aware of their performance. Provide a brief outline of the training events for future sessions.
· Supervise Flight Simulator Instructors and Flight Training Support team.
You should be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
· Professional/Technical Expertise: Has thorough and current knowledge of the job; demonstrates a high level of technical and functional skills; keeps informed of latest industry developments and assists in updating and maintaining company courseware and manuals.

· Customer Focus: Demonstrates a sense of urgency when working with both internal and external customers; available and responsive to client needs and wants, seeks to satisfy customer expectations.

Five years experience with an approved TRTO or equivalent training organisation, including instructional and evaluation experience. At least two years of prior management or leadership experience in a pilot training environment. Possess appropriate pilot training experience. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Occasionally required to work in a confined space of a flight simulator, with a noise level that is usually moderate. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to focus. Requires a range of body motion to perform the following: 1) reach, exert pressure and manipulate the rudder controls/brakes with both feet; 2) reach and manipulate numerous controls while on the flight deck; 3) enter and exit the flight deck of the simulator. Sometimes required to travel and stay away from home 15% travel.
