CAE: Synthetic Flight Instructor / Flight Simulator Instructor (SFI / FSI)
CAE Training Norway AS seeks applicants to fill vacancies as Synthetic Flight Instructor / Flight Simulator Instructor (SFI / FSI) on theS92 helicopter at our Aberdeen training centre.
A SYNTHETIC FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR’S RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Providing client training in accordance with approved Training Manuals guidelines, the training syllabus and the authorizing regulatory authority.
• Ensuring all training is completed using either CAE or the client company’s procedures.
• Training clients to the standard required and following procedures defined when a trainee is unable to meet the standard.
• Completing the Journey Log after use of a training device. Ensuring all defects are recorded in the Defects Log.
• Providing assistance to the Head of Training in the development of new programmes or courseware.
• When qualified as an examiner for either JAA / EASA or Authority, carrying out flight checks in accordance with and on behalf of the appropriate regulatory authority.
• Developing JAA / EASA aircraft flight training programmes for use within CAE TRTO’s
SUCESSFUL APLICANTS WILL HAVE:
• Or have held a professional pilot license issued by a JAA member state or a non-JAR- FCL professional license acceptable to the authority ( JAR-FCL2.350(A)(a)).
• Preferably had experience as a CRM facilitator.
• Excellent Classroom Presentation & Interpersonal Skills.
• Above average communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer skills & knowledge of Internet applications.
• The right to work and live in Norway.
For the roles, a background in the Simulation Industry, and experience with the aircraft types S92, EC225, AS332/L/L1/L2, and S61 would be an advantage. If necessary Type Rating training will be provided to the successful candidate(s).

The Position:The incumbent will be responsible to prepare and conduct approved aircraft type and task training in accordance with the requirements of EASA, the procedures given in the Part 147 MTOE, Part 145 MOE, and the EPM, and the scope/limitations given in his/her QA Authorization/Approval Certificate. In addition to that, he/she will also be responsible to prepare and conduct approved type training examinations and to carry out examination analysis in accordance with the requirements of EASA, the procedures given in the MTOE and EPM, and the scope/limitations given in his/her QA Authorization/Approval Certificate.

Degree or Honours (12 3 or equivalent) in Engineering or licenses on EK aircraft
Experience:
A minimum of 5 yrs as a licensed aircraft engineer plus atleast 3 years teaching experience.
Knowledge/skills:
Thorough knowledge of the Licensing system
Proven ability to train, coach, counsel and guide
Ability to deal with people in a persuasive and firm manner

CONTRACT EDUCATION COUNSELING INSTRUCTOR FOR PROJECT IN VIETNAM
Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley, California, is seeking a Counseling Instructor to teach Counseling 105: Strategies for College Success at the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vitenam. The Instructor will teach three Counseling 105 classes and participate in curriculum development and other project activities as part of the Coastline Community College Education Bound U.S. (CCC-EBUS) project. CCC-EBUS in Vietnam offers U.S. college units leading to an A.S. degree in Business to Vietnamese college students. The assignment will begin in August,2012 and end in December, 2012. Exact dates have yet to be established.
Background on the CCC-EBUS project in Vietnam: Students admitted to the EBUS program will:
• Acquire college-level academic skills necessary for a U.S. college education
• Improve English reading, grammar, writing, listening comprehension, and speaking skills
• Earn U.S. college units toward an A.S. Degree
• Receive Coastline academic counseling and attend college preparation workshops
Compensation:
The pay rate for this assignment will be determined by the Coast Community College District based on instructor qualifications. Compensation also includes: air transportation; ground transportation to and from airport to the school; $75/week stipend for living expense; on-site, simple, decent housing accommodations based on Vietnamese living standards.
Instructors are expected to travel to their assigned location 2 weeks prior to the start of a semester and are paid a $500/week stipend for this time.

Minimum Qualifications
Master’s in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family and child counseling, OR
The equivalent
• Experience traveling outside the U.S.
• Willing and able to embrace and adapt to a different culture
• Willing and able to function as a diplomat for the College
• Willing to participate in extracurricular school activities when in Vietnam
• Able to cover certain miscellaneous expenses related to International travel (for example: cost of passport and visa, etc.)
Desirable Instructor Qualifications:
• At least 3 years college teaching experience
• Experience with Coastline’s Online Learning Management System (Seaport)
• Experience living/teaching outside the U.S.
