As the Sales Manager you will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the department in line with the hotel business. As the Sales Manager you will also be responsible for managing and motivating your team. You will be responsible for:
· Monitors competitors activities and assists in marketing intelligence
· Refers sales leads to appropriate personnel within the InterContinental Hotels Group
· Sells to new, existing and prospective customers considering goals set forth in the sales strategy, negotiating optimum rate for the benefit of the business
· Services existing business through management of account bases
· Sell all facets of the hotel
· Manage the corporate head office and the preferred hotel history for that company
· Develop and maintain a regular pattern of sales calls, meeting with principals of target market
· Provides direction on, and conducts market research and analysis
· Develops and maintains contact with business generators, meeting and convention planners, visitors/convention bureau of Airline segment and other producers closely allied to Hotel business
· Builds profile within local market place through attendance at various events and local market place
· Conduct client interviews
· Entertain clients
· Plan and conduct familiarization tours and site inspections
· Travel when required to promote the hotel and develop potential business
· Maintain regular contact with the IHG hotels in your region and the regional reservation office
· Monitors existing business and inputs into sales strategy meetings to maximize business
· Grows existing business and establishes and pursues leads which will develop business
· Interfaces with operations on a timely basis
· Initiates and prepares tenders for business
· Assesses sales and marketing data
· Assists with the preparation of new products and services
· Assists in the evaluation of sales and marketing activities
· Analyses sales mix and likely impact on hotel goals
· Implement direction from Director of Sales and Marketing and Regional Managers
· Liaison with advertising agency
· Stock control of collateral
· Collateral input
· Execute advertising/creative briefs in a timely manner
· Works with superior on manpower planning and management needs
· Works with superior in the preparation and management of the Department's budget
You will also be required to ensure that all staff within your team are adequately trained and developed in line with company policy with the support of the Human Resources Department, in order to make sure that they will deliver consistency of brand standards at high level of performance.
Qualifications:
Ideally, you'll have 02 years of experience in the relevant position with Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field andproficiency in Korean.

Market study for Product Supply Chain of Tourism Value Chain in Quang Nam
The overall aim of the project is to utilize Quang Nam’s tourism sector as a driver for poverty reduction in the province, especially for individuals (primarily, but not exclusively, women and youth) from disadvantaged regions of the province.
Deadline for submissions: 12 November 2011
The specific project objectives to be attained are:
Pro-poor development of the hospitality and travel industry that creates benefits in inland regions in Quang Nam.Pro-poor development of the selected value chains which are critical to the development of the hospitality and travel industry for inland tourism in Quang Nam.Awareness of the project’s experience, lessons learned and tools among stakeholders in the tourism sector nationally and in selected other provinces.The project is seeking, through the participatory approach in Value Chain Development (VCD), to identify a range of proposals for intervention. Hence, Tourism Value Chain Working Groups are established to facilitate activities and ensure these are in line with the objectives of promoting sustainable, gender sensitive pro-poor and pro-jobs tourism development in Quang Nam.
Currently, the project has three Value Chain Working Groups: (1) The In-land Product Value Chain, (2) The Human Resources Development and Training Value Chain, (3) The Product Supply Value Chain.
To date, the Supply Chain Working Group presented a list of products that bear potential to be produced locally in the poor Western part of the province, for which development the Group requested project support. The list of potential products that have been developed through a brainstorming session of the working group needs to analyze the market demands and production capacity for the supply of products for the tourism value chain.
The objective of the current assignment is to study and identify potential products, conduct a market analysis and propose interventions in cooperation with the working group members. The consultant will prepare the selection strategies based on i) available resources, ii) market potentials and connectedness to the tourism industries iii) risk management issues, and iv) designing relevant interventions that addresses practical and institutional constraints and opportunities in order to enhance the viability and poverty reduction potentials of the possible supply chain products.
