Works on and with developing technology – shows imagination in application of new concepts
Generates advanced unique technical concepts in relevant area of expertise
Provides direction, oversight, and coaches other engineers as a technical mentor, and interfaces with the project manager to drive acceptable commercial results.
Serves as Chief reviewer of technical output, makes judgments on technical conflicts, and becomes an advocate to the customer
Certifies engineering automation output after tool developmentBachelors degree in technical area of expertise.
8 - 10 years minimum experience in relevant area of expertise
Able to effectively represent GE in front of customer in discussing contract questions and negotiating contract modifications
Able to understand and reliably translate technical questions effectively
able to proactively work through customer needs, local regulations, and GE systems to support implementation of the project
Demonstrates mastery of technical with detailed knowledge of theoretical and practical applications in area of expertise, as well as technical communications with the customer.
Demonstrated imagination and courage (Visionary leadership) for engineering area of expertise
Proven record of technical growth and top performance ratings
History of successfully completing stretch assignments
Demonstrates self-motivation and direction to drive solutions at the technology, partner, and customer level.
Has cross business technology perspective
Embraces and drives changes in business and technology
Demonstrated active participation in technical institutions/organizations, driving acceptable technical and commercial solutions with the customer.
Detailed knowledge of technical regulations and standards in the relevant area of expertise
Known in the related Industry and acknowledged and respected as a significant technical contributor.
Possesses significant career experience in the area of expertiseAdditional Eligibility Qualifications: Excellent computer skills, including automation tools, and familiarity with CAD software Excellent Organizational Skills Professional Engineering Registration Six Sigma Black Belt certification Experience in T&D ( Transmission and Distribution equipment and systems) Experience in High Voltage Series Capacitor Banks Field construction and testing experience .
