Partner Account Manager -Distribution Job

The Partner Account Manager - Distribution (D-PAM) is the overall sales leader and is accountable for the performance of his distribution partner. That performance is measured against the targets and goals established in the Partner Business Plan and reviewed on a regular basis as part of the account business rhythm.

Targets for the plan are developed as part of the Segment Alignment Workshop (SAW) / Consumer Channels Group (CCG) planning process that supports the creation of the overall subsidiary fiscal year plan, Key Performance Indicators KPIs and scorecard metrics for all products and price lines that the partner is authorized to distributes for Microsoft .

The plan also includes multi-year breakthrough initiatives in such areas as Consumerization of IT, Annuity Licensing and Renewals, Retail & Commercial Channel reach, Bootable Operating System(BOS) & Office Attach, Hosting and Transformation of the traditional reseller channel to lead with Cloud services.

Initiatives will be defined by local leadership or by Corporate Management via the World Wide Sales and Marketing Memos (WWSMM). The D-PAM is expected to work cross segment with respective teams in the subsidiary to lead the planning process, managing it through negotiation, review by all segment leads as well as final sign off by the Distributor. Once in place, the DPAM is accountable for managing the plan to success and meeting the goals that have been agreed to within as well as insuring that Microsoft meets the Conditions of Satisfaction (COS) established with the Distributor.

Sales Accountabilities:
Achieve or exceed the revenue targets for Distribution on all license and product types Full Package Product (FPP/PKC), Volume Licesning , Academic, Cloud, COEM
Achieve targets for Open Annuity penetration and renewals
COOP utilization and claims @ 100% and marketing efforts tracked to at least a 4X Return On Investment (ROI)
Strong implementation of run rate discipline in place with the distributor
Managing to within 5% +/- of forecast
Robust Cloud sales plan in place for assigned distributors and selling 25% of Office 365 seats and 10% Windows Intune subscriptions through our Channel Developers
Course corrections in place for all Red scorecard metrics and revenue responsibilities aligning Sales, Marketing, Partner and Services

Sales Leadership:
Distribution PAM driving the business with thoughtful plans and demonstrating proactive leadership, business insight and strategic leadership
Distribution PAM a trusted advisor and managing a meaningful QBR ROB?
PAM has a (multi-year) strategic plan in place or in development with the Distributor
Business plan executed on time and with quality via CRM?
Distribution partner plan been updated to reflect 2H business objectives/ MYR feedback
Core SMB/OEM/CCG priorities including Reach, Open Annuity Renewal rates of 80%, Cloud Reseller Activations, AAA and BOS attach % goals met
PAM lives and breathes Sales Excellence and instrumenting the business through the Disti Health Index (DHI),Customer Relationship Management reports (CRM) ,Managed Partner List (MPL), BreadthStrat
Engaged with partner/escalations and sales activities where necessary and appropriate; PAM has the right priority on CPE

Collaboration
PAM is super effective at managing and innovating to solve business problems cross-group ( i.e. Capacity planning, Driving Reach, landing PKC, driving breakthrough plans on BOS attach, readiness, and launch)
Connected at a leadership level in the subsidiary and respected by leadership (Country General Manager, Enterprise, OEM, CCG, Marketing and Operations (M&O),Business Groups BG, and the Partner Group)
DPAM connected to their peers across the Disti PAM community and @Corp- and learning from / contributing to success of the community

Requirements:
8-10 years’ experience in distribution or major channel account management experience with proven results
Strong understanding of Distributor and reseller channel business model and economics
Understanding how MS Distributors and Partners market/sell to SMB customers
Proven experience developing and executing against long term strategic plans
Ability to engage and influence at the CXO level
Demonstrated cross group collaboration abilities
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills

DUTIES

·Dealing with the day-to-day running 5 & 6 a-side football leagues

·Advertising for new teams and preparing marketing materials

·Preparing handbooks for teams to ensure they are aware of rules, regulations and upcoming fixtures

·Liaising with the football team managers and recording information on team players

·Liaising with referees and onsite coordinators to ensure smooth running of football league

·Ensuring that equipment (balls, bibs etc) is available for games

·Dealing with any queries and discrepancies from the teams

·Carrying out presentation evenings for leagues

Primary Purpose of the Role:

This position is part of a small but focused business team responsible for meeting company revenue targets from the Commercial Aviation vertical market within the Enterprise Business Unit.

The role will be required to drive overall market adoption and revenue growth for the company Aviation portfolio services (measured through increase in new sector penetration, growth in traffic) in the Business Aviation market segment. An additional key task for the role is account management of key Aviation distribution partner(s).

Key Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for meeting financial targets (revenue, margin) and addressing business growth and development opportunities. Specific emphasis is given to identifying added value solutions opportunities that provide incremental margin opportunities and support the sale of company developed solutions and airtime from the Business Aviation segment. The role will require close, effective working relationships with the company’s Aviation partners. Manage key distribution partner relationships for the Aviation business and Business Aviation segment. Devise DP account plans and targets for those partners and develop and execute DP-specific business development and market entry tactical plans including participating in proof-of-concept projects, establishment of reference sites and development of case studies for the industries and solutions in questionDevelop, and enhance, pre-existing  channel relationships (distribution partners, service and solutions providers, UT Manufacturers)Establish a detailed understanding of the target sectors and determine how best to introduce the company’s Aviation portfolio to the channelPromote/sell the value proposition to the channel.Manage practical demonstrations of company Aviation systems and applications to prospective customers and distribution partners. Develop practical applications guides and user information to assist  users of company systems and servicesPlanning and executing collaborative marketing with DPs for the selected target industries and market segments e.g. Large Cabin/Intercontinental aircraft, SB200 market segments and Helicopters.Monitoring and evaluating product/service performance by markets and regions and pursuing strategies to promote overall business growthSome administrative and project management duties related to market Development ActivitiesWholesale and Retail partners - the role is responsible for achieving business objectives from both the wholesale (DP) and retail (SP) side of the Aviation business, and is expected to develop and grow the Business Aviation business via both routes to market. Essential Knowledge and Skills:

This role requires a talented, self-motivated market development manager with an engineering or technical background, who has previous experience in the Aviation segment, particularly business/general aviation.Proven experience within the area of data communications, Information Technology and solutions in the aviation sector,

Proven experience working with the industry segment (business, commercial or military aviation) preferably in the communications/technology side.The role requires a competent individual who can form effective relationships, manage and drive the channel partners, while having the technical and commercial capabilities, to assist them to succeed.Develop new opportunities and new initiatives and implement the programmes – start to finish.Proven ability to sell value-added solutions, voice, data and IP airtime to corporate customersStrong knowledge of IP applications and data solutionsThe ability to understand and develop market forecasts, budgets and interpret a wide range of statistical and financial information will be an integral part of the role. The role requires someone with very strong interpersonal skills who enjoys working across functional boundaries with small, dynamic team of professionals.The working language is English and the role requires a high level of communication skills and charisma to give presentations, influence specialists with targeted segments.   Additional foreign language skills are highly desirable, as the role will require working with partners and customers across the globe.
