Our customer works in very close partnership with the MOD, offering a number of bespoke services that include Line & Base Maintenance activities.
Due to a period of continued growth they are seeking to appoint a Maintenance Control Engineer to join their operation based in Oxfordshire.

Essential job holder qualifications & experience

EASA License B1 / B2
Airbus A330 Type Rating or EASA License
Previous demonstrable experience within a Maintenance Control environment, preferably involving the management of the civil type aircraft.
Demonstrable experience in working with complex IT systems (SAP preferred) for the purposes of aircraft technical management

Job description responsibilities

Maintain oversight of fleet compliance.
Provide time limited ADD management.
Provide a single communication channel for all Engineering operational departments/bases.
Provide technical support for company Hub and all deployed operations.
Co-ordinate efficient and effective AOG support and recovery.
Manage all variation/extension requests and record all such requests in the appropriate documentation.
Maintain a computer based electronic shift incident/handover log for the department including any AOG issues.
Maintain close communication with Fleet Engineering logistics to ensure all ?out-of-hours? requirements are known.
Liaise/negotiate with Operations on all maintenance activities planned for the fleet and ensure the Operations flight information system is updated with the maintenance requirements.
Provide oversight on tasks that are falling due to ensure plans are in place for their completion and that the relevant bases are made aware of the requirements.
Utilise SAP and liaise with the Short Term Planner, ensure work orders, work packs, check packs and associated paperwork is issued for the production areas to carry out the planned maintenance programme.
Maintain communication links with all areas of the operation and co-ordinate directly with the Line Maintenance department.
Ensure the aircraft status is maintained within the FOPS centre providing information on aircraft availability (serviceable/un-serviceable), location and role equipment status.
Control of aircraft hand over and hand back procedure, from line to base and base to line
Ensure any unscheduled configuration change requirement, within their remit, is communicated to the appropriate departments for action.
Ensure any unscheduled ?fly-away-pack? requirements are communicated to the relevant departments.
Attend the daily operational planning meetings, discussing the last 24 hour operation and also the plans for the next 48 hours flying and maintenance requirements, and any other meetings as appropriate.
Manage and supervise Maintrol personnel within their control on shift.
Report and record any deviations from the maintenance schedule to the Airworthiness Engineer out of hours.
Maintain company Health & Safety requirements.
When required, update the hangar input plan.
Coordinate and record any requests for change to the published work scope. Review the necessary support/impact information to enable a ?best case? decision to be made.
Liaise with internal/external departments as necessary.
Ensure HSE, welfare, working hours etc. Are considered when allocating tasking to maintenance staff.
Ensure appropriate levels of control are in place for ?Critical tasks? with relation to effective handover (both verbal and written)
Be personally responsible for engaging in all facets of the role in line with the requirements of the SMS, Quality and Environmental Management Systems to provide a safe and efficient outcome to all that you do. This Includes maintaining awareness of the company safety and quality policies and the hazard analyses applicable to your tasking.

Our customer is a world leader in the provision of global mobile satellite services for use on air land & sea based platforms.

Due to a period of growth the need to appoint a Business Aviation Account & Business Manager has been identified.

Primary Purpose of the Role:

This position is part of a small but focused business team responsible for meeting company revenue targets from the Commercial Aviation vertical market within the Enterprise Business Unit.

The role will be required to drive overall market adoption and revenue growth for the company Aviation portfolio services (measured through increase in new sector penetration, growth in traffic) in the Business Aviation market segment. An additional key task for the role is account management of key Aviation distribution partner(s).

Key Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for meeting financial targets (revenue, margin) and addressing business growth and development opportunities. Specific emphasis is given to identifying added value solutions opportunities that provide incremental margin opportunities and support the sale of company developed solutions and airtime from the Business Aviation segment. The role will require close, effective working relationships with the company’s Aviation partners. Manage key distribution partner relationships for the Aviation business and Business Aviation segment. Devise DP account plans and targets for those partners and develop and execute DP-specific business development and market entry tactical plans including participating in proof-of-concept projects, establishment of reference sites and development of case studies for the industries and solutions in questionDevelop, and enhance, pre-existing  channel relationships (distribution partners, service and solutions providers, UT Manufacturers)Establish a detailed understanding of the target sectors and determine how best to introduce the company’s Aviation portfolio to the channelPromote/sell the value proposition to the channel.Manage practical demonstrations of company Aviation systems and applications to prospective customers and distribution partners. Develop practical applications guides and user information to assist  users of company systems and servicesPlanning and executing collaborative marketing with DPs for the selected target industries and market segments e.g. Large Cabin/Intercontinental aircraft, SB200 market segments and Helicopters.Monitoring and evaluating product/service performance by markets and regions and pursuing strategies to promote overall business growthSome administrative and project management duties related to market Development ActivitiesWholesale and Retail partners - the role is responsible for achieving business objectives from both the wholesale (DP) and retail (SP) side of the Aviation business, and is expected to develop and grow the Business Aviation business via both routes to market. The role will involve management of 1-3 distribution partners directly plus the need to achieve effective working relationships with other DPs and SPs.The Government Aviation business is managed by other Divisions but there will be a need for Aviation-specific support and expertise of Government partners and opportunities nominally managed by other BUs or Divisions.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

This role requires a talented, self-motivated market development manager with an engineering or technical background, who has previous experience in the Aviation segment, particularly business/general aviation.Proven experience within the area of data communications, Information Technology and solutions in the aviation sector,

Proven experience working with the industry segment (business, commercial or military aviation) preferably in the communications/technology side.The role requires a competent individual who can form effective relationships, manage and drive the channel partners, while having the technical and commercial capabilities, to assist them to succeed.Develop new opportunities and new initiatives and implement the programmes – start to finish.Proven ability to sell value-added solutions, voice, data and IP airtime to corporate customersStrong knowledge of IP applications and data solutionsThe ability to understand and develop market forecasts, budgets and interpret a wide range of statistical and financial information will be an integral part of the role. The role requires someone with very strong interpersonal skills who enjoys working across functional boundaries with small, dynamic team of professionals.The working language is English and the role requires a high level of communication skills and charisma to give presentations, influence specialists with targeted segments.   Additional foreign language skills are highly desirable, as the role will require working with partners and customers across the globe. Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of mobile satellite and cellular industry; familiarity with company products and services would be an advantage but not essential.Experience in dealing with tasks relating to practical mobile satellite link installation and applicationsWorking knowledge of industry standard IT tools and applications.Foreign languages

Sphere Of Influence of the Position:

The job is integrated within the Aviation Business Unit of the Enterprise Division.  Coordination is also required within other divisions of the company particularly Partner and Commercial Relationships.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Technical Tutor in aircraft Airframe engineering disciplines, to join a well established team working for a prestigious company based in Cambridge.

This role will include course development, teaching and presentation of a wide range of aircraft engineering disciplines with particular reference to Airframe principals and training. You will utilise the latest tools and training technology to deliver technical and academic material to apprentice trainees, foundation degree students and qualified engineering staff.

Experienced in civil and military aircraft your activities will include the construction of course syllabi, presentation design and the development of course notes in accordance with EASA Part 147 and / or Academic quality and standards.

We are looking for applicants who have a relevant teaching qualification and previous experience working in a technical college or university. Applicants will hold at least one aircraft type course ideally one being the C130 type aircraft, though this is not essential.
