Senior Production Reservoir Engineer - Vietnam

Apply $15000 to $20000 per month Extras: Full Expat package Our client, a major Oil & Gas operator in Vietnam, is looking for a Senior Production Reservoir engineer to be based in Ho Chi Minh city on a permanent basis. Key Responsibilities: - Be an integral part of the team which formulates the Reservoir Management strategy for the different fields and sub-blocks. Responsible for collection of accurate production, pressure and other data to execute the Reservoir Management strategy. - Formulate the production strategy for all development wells. Responsible for execution of the strategy through liaison with Production Department. - Develop procedures and plans for well monitoring, production analysis, well surveillance and production optimization. - Identify any sub-optimal production wells and decide on appropriate action(s) to increase well productivity e.g. additional perforations, stimulation, water shut-offs, etc. - Work closely with other departments on related well completions (with Drilling Department), on well intervention operations and on surface system optimization (with Production Department). - Fully responsible to provide all Production Technology input for preparation of Field Development Plans. Key Attributes: - Possess a Bachelor Degree, ideally in petroleum/ production/ reservoir engineering, with an MSc preferred. Significant experience in well and reservoir management, well surveillance, production optimization and well intervention operations. The candidate should have experience in well performance enhancement techniques including stimulation, re-perforation, artificial lift and water shut-off techniques. Experience with multi-stacked sandstone reservoirs and with water injection operations is required. - Production Technologist with a minimum of 15 years related experience. - Thorough understanding of well monitoring techniques and well production enhancement, such as water shut-off, PLT/ MPLT analysis, stimulation, etc. - Sound understanding of well completion, artificial lift (especially gas lift) and surface systems, and a sound knowledge of petroleum engineering. - Working knowledge of slickline, electric wireline and coiled tubing operations. - Knowledge of integrated field development philosophy in terms of reservoir management.
