Now more than ever is an exciting time to join Citi Vietnam as we continue to expand our business operations into the Consumer market.Product Risk, Business Development and Operational Control Manager-11020289DescriptionJob Purpose:Primary purpose is to support Global Transaction Services runs a proactive and dynamic risks management program to reduce and eliminate product and business process risks inherent in the GTS business. The position provides support to the GTS business with a consistent process for risk and control identification, reporting and tracking of required corrective action. This will be achieved through on-going discussions, providing consultations and training to the franchise. It also assists in the implementation of necessary processes as required by new regulations, rules and policies issued by all governing authorities and ICG policy initiatives. In addition, the role will also be responsible in GTS business analytics and developmental growth strategy where the position will help GTS Country Head in building a highly motivated and forward thinking business unit with impeccable controls and growth dynamic.Job Background/context:The role will be based in either in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. The position interacts with all product, coverage and operational function areas locally and regionally. The position will focus on transactional banking activities by providing product support, control oversight, efficiency improvements and overall business process management and leadership. The role also helps provide foresight and business developmental strategy to grow GTS business.Key Responsibilities:This position will be a de facto GTS BUCO/BURO officer (Business Unit Compliance and Risk Officer) for GTS Vietnam.This is a front unit position working closely with business managers and the Country Operations Technology, Compliance, Controls, Legal, Fraud, Information Security, Account Intelligence Unit, ARR Offices and other functional partners to ensure adherence of the various businesses within GTS to (i) local and US regulations, and (ii) Citigroup policies.Specifically, the responsibilities include but not limited to the following:-To implement and enforce a risk and control framework to assist GTS business to identify, reduce and eliminate product and business risks;-To provide forward-looking information on risk/control imbalances, and to attract appropriate management attention to potential problem areas;-Instill the importance of risk management through awareness programs and to inculcate a culture where appropriate risk controls are regarded as competitive edge in our business growth and strategy; Work with business, product and functional partners to define various policy requirements and on-going reporting and certifications; Provide advice and guidance to the business regarding risk, control and compliance issues. It includes all applicable corporate policies, compliance and regulatory requirements relevant to the GTS business; Work with product managers to keep track the renewal schedule to ensure Product Programs are current all new product rollouts initiatives fulfill the CMAC approval requirements; Conduct periodic risk-focused reviews (business monitoring) on countries and product certifications to ensure they are in compliance with corporate, regulatory, business and operational risk policy requirements; Co-ordinate with various Committee and meeting members to organize discussion package and follow up actions for the BRCC Meeting and AML Committee Meeting covering Regional GTS. Review upcoming audits to determine if there are any issues to be resolved and confirm status of corrective action for outstanding ARR and self-assessment issues concerning risk and control requirements including no overdue MBI's/BI's/WPC's; Review and approve policies including exceptions via Product Approval Process, Deal Review and risk control policy rollouts including training; Maintain and manage Vietnam GTS Continuity of Business Plan and related activities, including Record Management.In the Business Planning Analytics and business development capacity, the individual will work closely with the Unit Head on various business development and revenue/expense initiatives. The business planning analytics function complements the BURO/BUCO role as it allows the individual to have greater understanding of the business, and hence be effective in implementing controls at various risk levels. This role will also provide exposure to senior managers within the organization and also to external auditors.Decision Making:It involves decision-making when advising business on risk control matters. Keep abreast with respect to risk control issues in the region and reporting on significant issues to GTS Head and other members of senior management, as appropriate.Difficulties, distastes and critical incidents: The position demands great attention to detail and ability to co-ordinate with all levels within the business; Speed of turnaround crucial in accomplishing task in a fast moving environment; Involves occasional travelling between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with long hours.Most enjoyable aspects of the job:The Job scope provide for self-advancement and development of specific interests.
