Our client is a leading Retail Group with a strong global presence. Headquartered in Europe, the Group currently has operations in 130 countries with annual revenue well in excess of Euros 17.5 billion.

The Group currently has a need to recruit a Chief Financial Officer to lead and oversee the Finance function in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Reporting to the ASEAN Finance Director, the candidate will be required to demonstrate a commercial and proactive approach with regards to the Group's business model and supply chain strategy, ensuring they quickly identify, build and maintain strong relationships with the appropriate business unit contacts in Vietnam.

The candidate will be expected to advise the ASEAN Finance Director on all Vietnam Finance related issues in order to contribute to the sustainable development of the entity. You will manage the financial plan, budget and trends as well as supervising the reporting process. You will be required to set up and update procedures to guarantee the consistency, relevance and reliability of administrative and financial flow of information (expenditures, payments to suppliers. The candidate will consolidate the entity accounts and monitor treasury flows as well as ensuring that Group standards are in line with legislation and best practices of internal audit.

To be eligible for this role you will be degree qualified and hold a Chartered Accountant or Financial MBA qualification. Ideally you will have at least 10 years retail finance experience and a deep understanding of APAC finance legislation. It is also desirable that you have previous management experience of leading and growing finance teams. Lastly, you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to adhere to tight deadlines. Fluency in English is required for this role.
