An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Manufacturing / Mechatronic Engineers to join our client's successful team based in Vietnam. In return you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package.

The successful candidates must be flexible and free to travel for a minimum of two years following an initial Induction of around three months in their UK facility.

The Role
Objectives:
• To lead / drive technically led manufacturing based projects within the Vietnamese manufacturing site.
• To provide a pro-active innovative continuous improvement culture
• To provide a conduit between intra-group departments to facilitate improved project communication and responsiveness.

As Manufacturing / Mechatronic Engineer your duties will include:
• Both desk based and hands on capability to lead technical projects from concept to reality with an excellent attention to detail. The projects will be fed from multiple sources which mean prioritisation skills are a must. The projects will range from short < 2 weeks to long > 6 months in duration, requiring excellent, structured project management capabilities.

Principal accountabilities:
• To deliver focused, objective and timely technically biased projects.
• To ensure the Vietnamese factory technical teams function to their full capacity and to improve project efficiency and delivery through a continuous improvement methodology.
• To provide a strong and robust conduit for delivering commercially led technical initiatives through the Vietnam site.
• To improve and then maintain the communication paths between EU manufacturing sites and Vietnam, developing deeper relationships between key personnel and external suppliers and providing the hub for sharing best practise in this area for the Vietnam site.
• To create a forum for pro-active idea capture, discussion and project creation for the Vietnam site.
• To develop the communication paths between internal company customers to improve delivery of results and forge closer linkages between commercial and Vietnam technical teams.
• Develop a mechatronics strategy programme to identify and develop focused machinery upgrades to facilitate improved process control, lower machine/product variability and higher net quality.
• Drive the mechatronics strategy

The ideal candidate will have the following Experience/skills:
• Degree educated (Manufacturing Engineering / Mechatronics/MPhil in ISMM
• Automation, systems process capability
• CAD skills
• Minimum 2 years' experience in similar position / field
• Skill set must include capability to handle multiple inputs, ability to communicate well with both commercial and manufacturing teams/individuals, a clear understanding of continuous improvement practises.
• Clear leadership skills, can demonstrate team leadership.
• Must be highly flexible/adaptable
• Capable of high quality problem solving/troubleshooting
• Willing to challenge - can't be a wallflower
• Good standard of English spoken/written irrespective of origin
• Ability to multi task and be capable of managing multiple projects
• Excellent IT skills, familiarity with statistical tools
