Deputy Project Director – Vietnam
Our client is an Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Operating Company owned by Government of Qatar has immediate requirement for this position on below terms.
Contract Duration: Direct Hire
Location: Vietnam
Start Date: ASAP

Primary Purpose of the Job
SCOPE:
The position is with Downstream Projects, which may include Petrochemicals and refineries.
Reporting to the China Ventures Manager, the Deputy Project Director will be responsible for:
Successful execution of all phases of the project: FEED, Contracting, Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning.Satisfying all technical, operational, commercial, maintenance and quality requirements defined in our specifications, standards and practices, and within the approved budget and schedule.Negotiate JVA, JVC and all other agreement required for the project.Adequate implementation of our Safety, Health and Environmental standards.Timely communication with all stakeholders to ensure their participation & influence in the project as per the approved GOA and RACI charts.Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Completion of Honours Engineering Degree. Preferred Chemical Engineering.
Certification or training in Project Management.
At least 15 years experience in LSTK/EPC Projects.
Minimum 5 years experience as Deputy Project Director of a job of similar size and complexity, in petrochemical plants and/or large construction projects.
Previous experience working with and directing large International Companies/EPC firms as well as experience working in an International environment.
Strong technical knowledge of downstream petrochemical and refineries.
Thorough knowledge of FEED knowledge, construction management, contractual practices, inspection and safety standards in oil, gas and petrochemical field.
The individual must have contractual awareness, planning with exceptional communication skills QA/QC (ISO9001-2000) & for safety OHSAS 18001 awareness
Familiar with international codes and standards
Proficient in oral and written English.
Special Consideration:
There is a possibility that this position will be for China, so we need the candidates to be flexible in relocation.
