Director - Sales
Role Responsibility
The subsidiary sales director drives strategy, high level engagement, and solution development across customer segments including governments, educational institutions, and other business entities in Vietnam and Cambodia. As a member of the senior leadership team of Microsoft Vietnam, the role is responsible for ensuring a well-orchestrated delivery of an end-to-end customer experience for all customers and partners within the business.
In order to achieve these goals, the sales leader must develop and execute a country-specific strategy based on national, regional, and institutional priorities. The strategy should leverage resources provided by Microsoft both locally, regionally, and internationally. The individual should be skilled in building and maintaining relationships with senior government, business, and education officials. The candidate should have good collaboration, listening, and learning skills. In addition the individual must be able to build credibility, and have experience in selling solutions within the marketplace. The leader needs to ensure execution of the enterprise sales model and processes, and create mutually beneficial business opportunities with partners.
Primary Job Function
Strategy
• As part of the senior leadership team of Microsoft the candidate must be able to collaborate with customers and partners to develop and sell custom solutions for large business and ICT opportunities
• Develop the partner ecosystem necessary to drive sales and deployment of solutions
• Lead the development, evolution, and execution of engagement strategy with Vietnam and Cambodia senior leaders and government
• Be a spokesperson for Microsoft in the countries and region
• Build best practices, learn from and share with region & corporate leaders
Sales
• Manage sales pipeline to achieve short- and long-term sales targets
• Orchestrate subsidiary pipeline review meetings
• Ensure predictable and consistent interactions with customers and partners
• Coach and mentor team members
• Collaborate with other segment leaders, marketing, human resource, and finance leaders to ensure proper development of resources
Requirements
• Related experience
• A university or college degree
• Candidates must have at least 5 years of practical experience in sales and sales management
• Proven track record in developing strategic customer relationships; with the ability to engender trust and respect from customers
• Ability to provide strategic leadership; with good decision-making, planning, and organizational skills
• Good people skills and the ability to lead, mentor, coach and develop people
