Coastline Community College in Fountain Valley, California, is seeking a Counseling Instructor to teach Counseling 105: Strategies for College Success at the Vietnam Aviation Academy (VAA) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vitenam. The Instructor will teach three Counseling 105 classes and participate in curriculum development and other project activities as part of the Coastline Community College Education Bound U.S. (CCC-EBUS) project. CCC-EBUS in Vietnam offers U.S. college units leading to an A.S. degree in Business to Vietnamese college students. The assignment will begin in August,2012 and end in December, 2012. Exact dates have yet to be established.
Background on the CCC-EBUS project in Vietnam: Students admitted to the EBUS program will:
• Acquire college-level academic skills necessary for a U.S. college education
• Improve English reading, grammar, writing, listening comprehension, and speaking skills
• Earn U.S. college units toward an A.S. Degree
• Receive Coastline academic counseling and attend college preparation workshops
Compensation:
The pay rate for this assignment will be determined by the Coast Community College District based on instructor qualifications. Compensation also includes: air transportation; ground transportation to and from airport to the school; $75/week stipend for living expense; on-site, simple, decent housing accommodations based on Vietnamese living standards.
Instructors are expected to travel to their assigned location 2 weeks prior to the start of a semester and are paid a $500/week stipend for this time.

Due to a period of growth the need to appoint a Business Aviation Account & Business Manager has been identified.
Primary Purpose of the Role:
This position is part of a small but focused business team responsible for meeting company revenue targets from the Commercial Aviation vertical market within the Enterprise Business Unit.
The role will be required to drive overall market adoption and revenue growth for the company Aviation portfolio services (measured through increase in new sector penetration, growth in traffic) in the Business Aviation market segment. An additional key task for the role is account management of key Aviation distribution partner(s).
Key Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for meeting financial targets (revenue, margin) and addressing business growth and development opportunities. Specific emphasis is given to identifying added value solutions opportunities that provide incremental margin opportunities and support the sale of company developed solutions and airtime from the Business Aviation segment. The role will require close, effective working relationships with the company’s Aviation partners. Manage key distribution partner relationships for the Aviation business and Business Aviation segment. Devise DP account plans and targets for those partners and develop and execute DP-specific business development and market entry tactical plans including participating in proof-of-concept projects, establishment of reference sites and development of case studies for the industries and solutions in questionDevelop, and enhance, pre-existing channel relationships (distribution partners, service and solutions providers, UT Manufacturers)Establish a detailed understanding of the target sectors and determine how best to introduce the company’s Aviation portfolio to the channelPromote/sell the value proposition to the channel.Manage practical demonstrations of company Aviation systems and applications to prospective customers and distribution partners. Develop practical applications guides and user information to assist users of company systems and servicesPlanning and executing collaborative marketing with DPs for the selected target industries and market segments e.g. Large Cabin/Intercontinental aircraft, SB200 market segments and Helicopters.Monitoring and evaluating product/service performance by markets and regions and pursuing strategies to promote overall business growthSome administrative and project management duties related to market Development ActivitiesWholesale and Retail partners - the role is responsible for achieving business objectives from both the wholesale (DP) and retail (SP) side of the Aviation business, and is expected to develop and grow the Business Aviation business via both routes to market. The role will involve management of 1-3 distribution partners directly plus the need to achieve effective working relationships with other DPs and SPs.The Government Aviation business is managed by other Divisions but there will be a need for Aviation-specific support and expertise of Government partners and opportunities nominally managed by other BUs or Divisions.Essential Knowledge and Skills:

Zenon Aviation: Learjet45 Captain
Learjet 45 Captain required for an established operator in Africa working a rotation of 2 months on 1 month off for an immediate start.
Ideally you will be current on the aircraft or have flown within the last 2 years. A First Class Medical is also required. Experience working within Africa is desirable though not essential.
JAA / EASA ATPL required with the Learjet45 rating. You will need to be available on a short or no notice period.
Secure compound accommodation is provided during the rotation as well as ground transportation to and from base.
Minimum hours on type 500 + hours total with at least 250 hours in command on the Learjet 45.
This will be a long term contract working a rotation of 2 months on 1 month off with a competitive salary.

The UK Airprox Board (UKAB) is funded jointly and equally by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Military Aviation Authority (MAA) and located at RAF Northolt. Its role is to improve Flight Safety by investigating the causes of Airprox occurrences in UK airspace and communicating the results to relevant sections of the UK air ‘industry’.
The role
Our Inspectors coordinate Airprox investigations, produce consolidated analysis of facts and present these for the assessment of cause and risk by the UKAB Panel. Following the Panel’s assessment, Inspectors write reports on each occurrence, identify lessons recognised then draft and follow-up on any recommendations.
Inspectors participate in relevant civil, military committees and working groups, effectively communicate the results of their investigations with relevant sections of the aviation community, which is as important as identifying the lessons to be learned. All manner of communications are employed proactively and in response to requests for data and advice.
The ideal candidate
You will be a former aircrew member and have recent military flying experience, an intuitive feel for the air environment and proven analytical skills. Working as part of a small team, using your strong inter-personal skills you will forge diverse working relationships with UKAB colleagues, supporting organisations and a wide variety of industry colleagues.
The role will call for you to act with tact and integrity when reporting recommendations and detailing mistakes or gaps in procedures and regulations, utilising a firm but sympathetic approach.
Our reputation and credibility requires you to maintain high level knowledge of the Air Navigation Order and subsidiary regulations, operating/controller practices and technical developments. You will make the most of your professional curiosity and with a willingness to embrace/lead change we expect you to identify and develop opportunities for improving processes and outputs.
It is essential that you write in a clear, concise, jargon-free manner to explain complex scenarios and analyses. You will conduct briefings and formal presentations with confidence, logic and fluency; and you will be expert in the use of MS Office packages.
