Major USA Apparel manufacturer has an excellent opportunity for a Quality Controller to be stationed in Vietnam.

Job Responsibilities 

Quality Assurance – Conduct quality inspections and report/resolve any problems. Production Control – Provide assistance to USA and HK Production Managers/ Merchandisers by providing on-site info such as WIP status, shipping delays, quality issues, etc.Investigate defect claims in garment factories and take actions for resolution.Establish, document, communicate, and enforce quality expectations based on company standards.Manage quality function by conducting inspections based on a 2.5 AQL System.Establish short and long term quality strategies to reduce defects, lower costs, and ensure the overall quality of the fabric.Analyze information from quality inspections and recommend solutions for improvements.Coordinate with company Q.A. teams in Asia, Los Angeles, and Dallas distribution center to identify/rectify repeating vendor performance issues through communication and education.Minimum 5-7 years garment-related experience in wovens and knits.Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve all quality-related issues.Technical knowledge and education of fabric, pattern making, and garment construction.Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Vietnamese.Computer literate and ability to maintain controls and documentation procedures.Social compliance audit experience preferred.Solid knowledge of Wal-Mart quality standards preferred.
